Getting Started

Via Frican Continental Listings (Recommended)
  1. Log in to Frican Continental Listings
  2. Click the Frican Social Talks link in the top navigation bar
  3. You are automatically signed in — no separate password needed
  4. Your Frican real name becomes your FST display name
One click. No extra registration.
Direct Registration
  1. Click Join Free in the header
  2. Enter your phone number
  3. Enter your full name, country, and city
  4. Choose a password
  5. Click Create Account
Your phone number is your login identifier.

Wall — Community Hub

The Wall is the main community feed — your first screen after logging in. It shows posts from all members across the community.

Post Anything
Share news, business opportunities, opinions, achievements, or community events with all members.
React & Reply
Like posts and leave comments to engage with the community.
Share Content
Share interesting posts with your connections or save them for later.

Conversations — Group Rooms

Conversations are open group chat rooms organised by topic — business, technology, farming, arts, politics, and more. Anyone can join and participate.

Browse: Click Conversations in the nav to see all available rooms. Each shows the topic, member count, and latest message.

Join & Chat: Click any room to enter. Type your message in the input at the bottom and press Send.

Create: Scroll to the bottom of the Conversations list and use the Start a New Conversation form to create your own topic room.

Stay Updated: A badge on the Conversations nav link shows how many rooms have unread messages since your last visit.

Discovery — Find Professionals

Discovery lets you browse and search the entire FST membership. Filter by country, city, or job title to find exactly who you're looking for.

Search & Filter
  • Filter by country or city
  • Filter by job title or profession
  • Click any member card to view their full profile
Connect
  • Click Connect on any profile to send a connection request
  • Add a note explaining why you want to connect
  • Once accepted, you can send private messages

Seeking — What You're Looking For

Seeking lets you post what you're actively looking for — a business partner, investor, supplier, service provider, collaborator, or specific talent. Other members can see your request and reach out.

Click Seeking in the navigation bar.

Click Post What You're Seeking.

Select the type (Business Partner, Investor, Job, Service, Collaboration, etc.).

Write a brief description of what you need and your location.

Click Post Seeking Request. It appears in the Seeking feed for all members to see.

Other members can click your request and send you a connection request or message.

Connections — Your Network

Connections is where you manage your professional network. It shows pending requests you've sent and received, plus your accepted connections.

Incoming Requests
  • See who wants to connect with you
  • Read their reason for connecting
  • Click Accept or Decline
  • A badge on the nav shows pending count
Your Connections
  • Browse everyone you're connected to
  • Click a name to view their profile
  • Click Message to start a private conversation
  • Remove connections at any time

Messages — Private Chat

Messages is your private one-to-one inbox. Only connected members can message each other.

Click Messages in the nav to open your inbox.

Select an existing conversation from the list, or start a new one from a connection's profile page.

Type your message in the input at the bottom and press Send.

A red badge on the Messages nav link shows how many unread messages you have.

Unread count refreshes automatically every 60 seconds — no need to reload the page.
Private: Messages are only visible to you and the recipient. They are not shown on the Wall or in any public feed.

Feed — News & Media

The Feed aggregates the latest African and international news, curated by topic. Use the tabs to switch between categories.

News Articles
Latest headlines from across the continent and the diaspora.
Topic Filters
Switch between Business, Technology, Politics, Sports, Health, and more via the tab bar.
Seeking Tab
The Seeking tab within Feed shows all member "seeking" posts in one place.
Note: News content is aggregated from third-party sources. FST does not endorse or verify external news articles. Always check primary sources.

Your Profile

Click Profile in the header or visit /profile/edit to update your details.

Profile Picture
Upload a clear professional photo. Click the camera icon on your avatar. JPG or PNG, max 5MB.
Full Name
Your name as shown to other members. If you joined via SSO this is pre-filled from your Frican Listings account.
Job Title & Company
Add your role and employer. This appears on your member card in Discovery.
Bio
A short paragraph about yourself — your skills, interests, and what you bring to the community.
Seeking Preferences
Tell the community what kind of connections you are looking for (partners, investors, talent, etc.).
Country & City
Your location helps others find you in Discovery and Seeking filters.
Change Password
Update your FST password here. If you only use SSO, you can set a password to enable direct login too.

Click Save Profile to apply your changes.

Product Listings on Your Profile

You can add up to 10 products or services to your FST profile for display and enquiry purposes. These appear on your public profile page for other members to see.

Important: FST listings are for display only. No transactions take place on FST. For full marketplace functionality — photos, multiple categories, WhatsApp contact, and 60-day listings — use Frican Continental Listings.
To add a product: go to Profile Edit → My Products, enter a name, description, and price, then click Add Product.

Feedback & Support

Click Feedback in the nav to send a message to the admin team. Use it for:

Report a Bug
Report a User
Suggest a Feature
Ask a Question
Request Account Deletion
General Enquiry

The admin team will review your message and reply via the platform. Response time is typically within 24–48 hours.

Stay Safe on FST

Read This
Never share your password with anyone — FST staff will never ask for it
Do not send money to anyone you met on FST before verifying their identity
Report suspicious profiles or requests via the Feedback page immediately
Use a strong, unique password — do not reuse passwords from other platforms
Trust your instincts — if a connection or message feels wrong, block and report
Keep your phone number private — it is not shown publicly on your FST profile
