1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering on Frican Social Talks ("the Platform", "FST", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply whether you register directly or access the Platform via Single Sign-On through Frican Continental Listings ("FCL").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to register. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Platform is intended for Africans and the African diaspora worldwide.

3. Nature of the Platform

Frican Social Talks is a social networking platform for professional connection, community building, news consumption, and networking among Africans and the African diaspora. It is not a dating platform, e-commerce platform, or financial services provider.

FST is part of the Frican ecosystem, which includes Frican Continental Listings (a pan-African marketplace). While both platforms share an operator and support Single Sign-On access, they maintain separate accounts, databases, and governance.

4. Single Sign-On (SSO) Access via Frican Continental Listings

If you access FST via the Frican Social Talks link on Frican Continental Listings, the following applies:

• Your FCL real name and phone number are used to automatically create or match your FST account.
• No separate password is required to sign in via SSO. The SSO token is valid for 120 seconds and cannot be reused.
• Your FST account is independent — changes to your FST profile do not affect your FCL account and vice versa.
• You may also register on FST directly at any time using your phone number and a separate password.
• By accessing FST via SSO, you confirm you have read and agreed to both these Terms and the FCL Terms of Use.

5. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension.
• You must provide accurate information at registration.
• Your phone number is your unique identifier and cannot be transferred.

6. Connections and Messaging

• All connection requests must include a genuine stated purpose.
• Private messages may only be sent between connected users.
• You may not use the messaging system for unsolicited commercial messages (spam).
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

7. Product Listings

• Users may list up to 10 products for display purposes only.
• No financial transactions take place on this Platform. All product enquiries must be handled directly between parties.
• Frican Social Talks accepts no liability for any transactions conducted outside the Platform.
• Listings must be genuine and accurately described. Fraudulent listings will result in account suspension.
• For full marketplace functionality — including categories, photos, WhatsApp contact, and 60-day listings — use Frican Continental Listings.

8. News Feed

The distribution feed aggregates third-party news content. Frican Social Talks does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for third-party news content. Always verify information with primary sources.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content.
• Use the Platform for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or the Platform's systems.
• Engage in pyramid schemes, MLM recruitment, or predatory financial schemes.
• Exploit SSO access to create fake or duplicate accounts.

10. Intellectual Property

All Platform design, branding, and code is the property of Frican Social Talks. User-submitted content remains the property of the user, but by posting it you grant Frican Social Talks a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.

11. Advertising

The Platform may display advertising in the future. By using the Platform you consent to the potential display of relevant advertisements. No advertising is currently active.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us via the Feedback page.

13. Limitation of Liability

Frican Social Talks provides the Platform "as is" and accepts no liability for: loss arising from connections made on the Platform; transactions conducted between users; third-party news content; SSO sign-in failures; or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal legal process.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
